Hello, I am Mostafa, a 29 years old Masters Student, currently studying Electromobility in 2nd semester.
Do you have any questions about student life and the study programme Electromobility? I would be happy to share my experience with you and give you an insight into life as a DIT student. I am looking forward to hearing from you!
Why did I choose this study program?
I have always been fascinated by modern day engineering products from airplanes, cars, manufacturing machines, computers as well as embedded systems (tiny computers). After reading the course content of Electromobility at THD, I found that a lot of the content offered in this program matches my passion for learning. Not only that the content is the state of the art in each industry but it gives you a wide spectrum of knowledge in various fields. You don’t have to stick with certain courses that you don’t like because in this program there is not just one direction of learning but two that you can choose from:
My personal tip to you:
Electromobility is a new field of study, electric cars have been in development for 20 years. The topic is currently gaining traction, the hype is real considering that from 2030 onwards cars sold in Europe will be purely electric or zero emission. This field is booming, if ever there was a time to act, it is now.
Good to know:
There are a few tips and tricks you could do to help yourself go through your master’s studies as smooth as possible. This includes learning a couple of skills:
That's what I particularly like about my course of studies:
Every course is actually supported by a practical project or lab work as well as reporting which in itself gives you an edge in the marketplace. Being able to work with equipment, take data, analyse it and present it in a meaningful way is all what it takes to get a class job in top companies.
Why you should study at DIT/ECRI:
Deggendorf is particularly suitable for students because you have everything you need. You can literally buy everything you need (including high tech computers/tablets/study equipment) within a 15 minute walk. The city is not particularly huge (in huge cities you have to struggle to find affordable accommodation as well as transport), at the same time Deggendorf is not a small city at all, it is perfect. There are various support programs for students to insure that they are both motivated and healthy so that they can concentrate 100% on their studies. People really care and take action, which is the most important thing. I would say that Deggendorf is not only practical for students, but also fun. There are a lot of green areas and nature, which I find inspiring.
