Is your goal to advance the beauty industry at an academic level and, as a specialist, to apply a wide range of knowledge in practical work with customers? Do you want to run your own business and develop it sustainably? Do you want to plan independently and conduct internal and external training courses in the beauty industry? Then the part-time bachelor’s degree in Cosmetic Sciences and Management (B.A.) is the ideal path for you.
After graduation, you will have a variety of career opportunities in cosmetology & dermatology, regardless of whether you land a management position in a spa or a dermatological facility, in marketing & sales departments or in the training & consulting area.
In the courses, interdisciplinary modules await you: Starting with business, physical, chemical and mathematical basics, there is a focus on subject-related modules such as basics of skin, microbiology, nutrition, metabolism and endocrinology, optics and optical radiation, cosmetic procedures as well as aesthetics and design. Afterwards, the focus turns to the second essential strand of the course: With modules such as financing and investment, management techniques, labor and contract law, quality and project management as well as rhetoric and communication, you will acquire comprehensive skills for taking on management and leadership tasks.
By integrating the NiSV specialist certifications in the areas of skin, dermatology & cosmetology, ultrasound, optical radiation and EMF in cosmetics and stimulation, you also have the opportunity to implement the respective specialist skills directly in your own work after completing the individual modules.
7 or 8 semesters part-time / previous training may be recognized. Since the students usually come with relevant professional training and experience, the practical semesters can also be completed in-house and are integrated in parallel during the theoretical semesters.
The target group of the part-time bachelor’s degree in “Cosmetics Science and Management” is as diverse as the course itself:
From beauticians and hairdressers with a university entrance qualification or with a master’s degree who decide to take a step towards academia in their industry and thus secure a wide range of career opportunities; to career changers who would like to help shape the industry creatively and innovatively in the future - the Bachelor of Cosmetic Sciences and Management is for all creative minds with an interest in the natural sciences, dermatology, but also in leading and managing company departments in the beauty industry.
