What is the Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator?
The Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator brings together established companies from Bavaria with students and young professionals from Bavaria and Israel who are interested in starting a business. Together, multinational teams develop technological and economic solutions for the issues of the entrepreneurial clients. Since its founding in 2015, there have so far been ten editions with over 50 corporate partners and over 230 participants.
Corporate partners from Bavaria and Israel present BIPA’s multicultural teams innovation with challenges relevant to their business, in fields such as:
In 2020, the universities of applied sciences in Deggendorf and Regensburg, together with the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship and Tech7, made this BIPA year the biggest and best yet. However, BIPA 2021 was even more exciting: for the first time, Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi was part of the BIPA family, making it a truly multinational experience for all.
How does the programme work?
Students, entrepreneurs and young professionals from Bavaria and Israel form international teams, and engage in a 2-month programme composed of a virtual kick-off workshop, an acceleration phase, and final online event.
Teams are guided throughout the programme by highly qualified and experienced mentors to create tailor-made solutions for the proposed challenges.
An intensive kick off is dedicated to guiding the newly formed teams into the process of innovation while addressing the specific challenges of the participating companies.
Development of a customised solution for the proposed company challenge, supported by virtual mentoring and online collaboration tools.
The teams present their developed solutions both to the company partners as well as to a bigger audience.
