Further information
After the application deadline, the Human Resource Management department and the relevant specialist department will review all applications received. Please understand that this step may take some time.
If you are included in the shortlist of applicants, we will contact you to arrange an appointment for an interview. The interview will either take place on site at Deggendorf Institute of Technology, at one of its external locations or via MS Teams. You will receive more information about this in our invitation letter by email.
The interview is usually accompanied by a representative of the Human Resource Management department, representatives from the respective department and a member of our staff council, if you so wish. If you have indicated that you have a severe disability or equal status in accordance with SGB IX, we will also invite our representative for severely disabled employees to the interview.
The purpose of the interview is to get to know each other and to clarify both your professional and personal qualifications so that you and we can see whether working together would be a good fit. Open questions are also answered and the general conditions of the position are explained. After the initial interview, there may be a follow-up interview directly in the department or with your future colleagues.
After all interviews have been conducted, you will usually receive feedback from us within two to three weeks. If you have any questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact the Human Resource Management department.
If the decision is made in your favour based on the documents and your impression at the interview, we will contact you by telephone to inform you of the initial verbal confirmation of employment. Once our staff council has given its approval, you will receive written confirmation and the recruitment documents by post. After reviewing the documents, you will make an appointment to sign the contract with the relevant administrator in the Human Resource Management department before starting work.
In accordance with Art. 75 of the Bavarian Staff Representation Act, our Staff Council is involved in all recruitments of academic support staff. Our Staff Council is also informed about the recruitment of academic staff as part of the trust-based cooperation.
